2021.9 Pi 3 WARNING
Currently their is an issue with the latest release and the Pi 3. The update has currently been taken down due to these issues.

UPDATE! - 2021.9.2 is now available which should have resolved the reported issues

These update videos are really useful! Somehow I never find time to read the release notes completely, but there’s always time to watch a quick update video haha. You’re probably leaving this out on purpose, but I wouldn’t mind it if the more technical updates are also included, like tools to use in automations.

Hi Mark....I don't have any automatic Energy Management data! Can I just add each month manually the data from my bills into HA Energy? If so...how please?

I had a very strange thing happen on both of installations of HA. I have both a RPi4 and Ordroid. I went to Supervisor on both and was notified of the 2021.9 update. I selected Update and it appeared to be starting the update, but it never did. I have restarted both servers and I'm still on 2021.8.1 of the Supervisor. The Dashboard doesn't seem to know the 2021.9 release is available. :(

They had to pull the update due to RPi3 constant reboots.

Snapshot makes you think a glimpse at that time. Backup makes you think everything is saved and therefore backed up safe in case something goes sideways.

Qs - does a backup/snapshot save all the data - ie long term sensor data you spoke about OR is it just a config? And how is that data saved or useable outside of HA? Is it in an excel spreadsheet or exportable to something like that? What's the limit on history of data collected and is there a good way to save/separate chunks of data so your backups don't just become too huge (assuming they bring all the logged data with the config) ie - every year I want to archive the last year or so, but still want to refer to it in some way later (think energy usage over the life of a home).

Thanks. Do you think usb will include Bluetooth? I can't get HA to connect to Bluetooth speaker for playing alarm sound :(

USB discovery is a waste of dev time IMO. I have only ever used 1 USB device, and the setup isn't that hard.
