Long Multiplication

A 3 digit number multiplied by a 2 digit number

Haven't been able to do this my entire life. I'm 17 now and if I wanted to do a problem like this I could only do it in my head and have it take forever. Teachers kept trying to teach me how to write it out and I could never get it and then I watch a 2 minute video and can solve any multiplication problem w/o a calculator. Made my day.

Just started my college algebra course. We were told not to use calculators when given the practice exam the first day of class.
Realized I can understand highschool and college level mathmatical concepts, but I'm a 21 year old woman who cannot do long multiplication or division by hand; shit you learn in middleschool, because I haven't had to since middleschool.

That's good but don't expect to remember how to do this when you reach high school or even when you become an adult. You will forget it, everyone does.

Thank you! It's been so long, I just use a calculator now but I did a written old fashioned paper test for a job the other day and couldn't remember how to do it. I forgot about the "0" and what to do when you have a 2 digit (carry) number.

Really good video, but why put the carried numbers at the very top, so far away from the numbers they need to be added to?
