Today, we'll be testing and reviewing the EnjoyBot 12v 100Ah LiFePO4 battery. This is one of the cheapest we have reviewed so far, so just how well will it hold up? We will do a capacity test and open it up to see how it's built.

Alright, so after filming this video, I noticed the manufacturer's website indicates "automatic temperature protection". I took the BMS apart completely to make sure I didn't miss anything, such as another temperature sensor under the heatsink. There is nothing else. There are pads to solder on a 2nd and 3rd temperature sensor, but they're empty. Additionally, I found the brand name of the BMS (VIP-BMS) on the PCB inside. Feel free to leave any other questions, comments, or thoughts!

Every battery I've gotten from Enjoybot or it's rebranders (Chins, Zoom, Amperetime) have been great and met advertised specs

Darn! I was really going to start pushing for these batteries for Skoolie and RV set-ups because of the low price point. That price makes them very attractive. Unfortunately, most of the mobile folks really want something that is fool-proof. I sure wish that the manufacturers in China would learn that the low-temp charging is a much bigger deal than they think it is.

I, for one, have not drunk the Kool-Aid of Battleborn and Victron and am constantly looking for alternatives to suggest to people who are designing their solar set-ups.

I've been looking for some lithium batteries but I want low temp protection...thanks for these videos...def steering me away from the ones that don't have it! My batteries will be weather protected outside but not temp protected.

100th LIKE! This option is a great price for the build quality. What's your plan for all these spare dissasembled batteries you have laying around....This might be a good option to test 'cold temp charging damage by charging it over and over below 32F to see if it gets damaged! My guess is that you'd have to charge quite a bit before you see a loss in capacity. Thanks for the review and teardown.

Another very informative vid.
I went back over some of your vids and was trying to remember; was there any brand in the $300 range hat had low temp shutoff?

Perfect battery for me here in Jamaica, price is good and we don't have freezing temps. I'm buying one soon.

I'm curious as to how much more it increases the price of the BMS to add a low temperature sensor? You would think that this company could make this available as an option.

suitable to be used in central and southern African regions, where temperature rarely goes below freezing, I hope the price will drop further more... I will keep monitoring your reviews

Ther are some of LifePo4 Batteries they are spesificated down to minus 15 degrees to be charched, like Whinston Cells ! As I remeber correctly. This was aprooximaly 10 years ago at Whiston cells. May be other cells have reached the same temperature range now?

Just an idea to maybe give an update/perspective on what to use 18650s on these days since bigger batteries are taking over the power wall space and maybe other spaces as well. I don't follow any solar/battery/energy forums and don't see the usual youtubers talking about 18650s now. There might be some since out there, but I'm not watching them. It seems laptop aren't using 18650s anymore. I'm more into finance/stock/bond market youtubes now so not very aware of what's going on now with batteries. You had some used flat pouch batteries at one point, did you ever find a place to use them?

A Chins battery with a different label. I have two and only one thing worries me. In the past the new batteries tested at 105 to 106 Amp hours. The recent new batteries test 102 Amp hours. That is a differed of 3 to 4 Amp hours. The question is, why?

Thinking these are what I’ll get for my 36v EZGO golf cart. Looking for good run time and taking all that extra weight off the cart with 6, 6v lead acid vs just running 3 of these 12 v. Thanks

Excellent review...as always. LOVE your channel!! These batteries are advertized as having low-temperature protection which is NOT TRUE. A real deal breaker!!
