Thank you for these photos. Malmedy was a horrific war crime. RIP to all the American soldiers murdered there. I lived in a town with a lot of WW2 soldiers. My Dad became a watchmaker and jeweler. He fixed glasses and watches for the veterans and elderly for free. Many vets came in and sit and talk with him. He was such a calming presence. When the subject of Malmedy came up soldiers serving in Belgium said they wanted to hunt those guys down and beat the shit out of them. One army vet told my Dad It was all I could do not to gun down Germans who surrendered. He said I'd think of my mother who I promised I would not become a barbarian and just do my duty. My Dad served in the Navy in the Pacific Theater but understood what this veteran was talking about.

So very emotional to see the photos at war and then the same locations many years later during peace

We'll never forget this horrific war crime. May the boys in Red, White, and Blue rest in peace.

I'm in tears when I see pictures as such. Harsh reality when this generation never leaned about the Normandy Invasion. Tomorrow marks the 80th anniversary. There are less then 200 men that are alive and in there late 90's. I have seen many news reels regarding the invasion. 200 thousand troops died and are buried in France. Lest we forget these brave men who gave there lives so we can have freedom. Freedom isn't free. Don't you forget that

Amazing how it is the buildings that remain constant, but the roads, trees and hedgerows all change.
Good work 👍🏻

Jag är 71 år gammal och har svårt att sätta mig in i hur detta krig var för alla soldater. Må dom vila i frid❤❤❤

As a proud natural born American these videos tug at my heart realizing what the greatest generation did so I can sit peacefully in my home today, a free person. I for one will never forget the sacrifices made by so many.

Excellent. Wonder if the townsfolk think of the history within their homes, businesses and streets? Thank you for keeping it alive and for encouraging me to research and learn.

Those souls will forever walk these paths. Their energy is strong in all of the videos. Their Energy remains on earth, their souls are in heaven

Notice how those places have been paved over and concrete. Sad state for holy ground.

Rightly so... Watching these makes me almost emagine a thousand or so soldiers passing my rural home in the west of Ireland with their military gear and vehicle's in preparation for the defense of my home and country againts invasion.

The fact that the previous generations were Strong and Mighty in every way, while today the world is offended by anything and everyone. It sickens me

The debt we owe these heroes can never be fully repaid. God bless the memory of the Greatest Generation.
