The campaign was released in Chinese only but thanks to "3652xxyy", the campaign has been translated to English to make it reachable to a broader audience.

4:47 not unexpected - Gates are like walls in that they block movement, so units trying to get through them for any reason (like Tianshu trying to get into range to "attack" the Sentry) will instead attack that Gate.

5:18 if I had to guess, the Psychedelic -duration isn't only a single frame or something - so the Chaos-effect keeps switching on and off too fast for the unit to pick and stick with a target.
