BM800 + Phantom Power (NO SOUNDCARD)

We test the BM800 microphone with phantom power! It's the best solution that I recommend if you're on a tight budget and creating content on a computer -- NO NEED FOR A SOUNDCARD, just a 3.5mm jack!

What I like the most is how voicemeeter enhanced the audio quality of a cheap condenser mic. I think voicemeeter is excellent in transforming low quality audio into a more professional quality. I also have tried a sound enhancer on my PC called Breakaway, and it's just sounds amazing. I'm fond of processing audio on PC. Thanks for this video, it's very informative! I'm learning a lot from contents like this. Thanks sir! 👍

I'm so glad to have found this video before purchasing the BM800 with the V8 soundcard! Such a life saver. Thank you so much for creating a series of video about it. It really helped me decide what I should buy depending on my sound/audio preference.

Timing of this was wild, literally just ordered both on 11.11 and skipped on the V8 cause of your videos. Keep up the great content!

Perfect timing. I was having second thoughts about the BM800 if I should get it with the phantom power or not. This video helped a lot for making my decision.♥️

Great how you explain all the things that matter and showing the side-by-side comparisons in a short and informative video. Most other channels upload long, drawn-out word soup of a video just to reach the 10 minute mark which should only really take 5 minutes to show/explain.

Not sure if its just me or did anyone else notice a "grounding sound" when Norcla tested the BM-800 + Phantom Power + Voicemeeter + Plugged directly to the PC? It was quite irksome in a way. But over all... This is another great vid! Very concise indeed. Cheers!

it's christmas today good thing na super metikoloso ako sa bibilhin kong gamit in terms of quality. ano pang tyaga ng ipon at hardwork kung makakabili ako ng below level of my expectations. i am a beginner musician and may napamaskuhan ako today sobrang eager ko na makabili kahit BM800 lang kasi yun lang ang kaya ng budget. gusto ko na magsimula thru covers since pandemic and i didn't go to online classes it's a waste of time i'd rather do what makes me happy while chilling.

thank god i found your review it's a BIG HELP! thank you as well! merry xmas ❤

This guy is a genius, I really don't understand the world. We give more important glamorous creators instead of content creators who makes really useful contents.

I almost bought a stupidly expensive soundcard for a mid mic, thank you for this.

That was a pretty good initial explanation about difference between dynamic and condenser mics! Nice start to the video! Now about the mics: The BM800 sounds awful, strident, nasal. IMHO the letters "BM" mean the same thing they did when I was three years old. Second, the BM800 is dangerous because there are two different versions with exactly the same model number and appearance. One version is unbalanced and uses 5 volt "plug in power" like you would get from the mic input on a PC. The other version is balanced and uses 48 volt phantom power like you'd get from a sound board or some interfaces. The danger is that if you have the 5 volt version and connect it to a 48 volt phantom power supply you will blow the mic. (Actually that's a good outcome, it will force you to go out and hopefully get a better mic.) In conclusion, anybody thinking about a BM800 needs to be very aware of which version it is, what cable it comes with, etc. or you might just throw your money away.
