After I started meditating on the regular, I started to see/feel/hear the motivation behind a negative person’s actions. They don’t trip you so you’ll skin your knee, though you will skin your knee. They trip you to try to engage your mind in a negative direction:

1) “why did they trip me? “
2) “when/how should l get revenge?”

It’s just a mind game. This was a big thing in sports in the ‘70’s-80’s “Get into their head, get under their skin” . It’s used by people who doubt their own talent and skill. They play dirty. If they trip you four times going for the goal, maybe next time you’ll hesitate.

Never stoop to their level.

This is the second time, and second video, where you have covered this concept from the Stoics. Especially with regard to Marcus Aurelius. If anybody needs to hear it, it would be me. My mother always taught us that the best revenge is a life well lived. Never sink to the level of those that have wronged you but instead, live your best life with strength and courage. I was lucky to have such a wise mother.

I love this but there is one exception to the last argument “to be like them is just punishing yourself.” This works for the most part except for around 5 percent of people because 5 percent of people are psychopaths.

I had trouble not giving back to people, cause I didn't accept the idea that they shouldn't get what they deserved. In the past I've felt helpless as well. But then I realised that removing your attention is what they deserve. They've done you wrong, they don't get your (very very valuable) attention
