Even applying for jobs due to pass toxic jobs overall in work history, or fired from previous jobs it's very hard to get one these days.

Ghosted! definitely. Just had an interview in Dec right before holidays. Still have not heard anything as it is about 3ish weeks now. Not to mention, just saw that they posted another instance of the same position I interviewed for. Obviously, I did not get it. But it would have been nice to hear back even if it was a rejection. Yet, all they keep saying - oh keep applying, we need you, don't be discouraged etc. etc. well....how is it not to when we do not even hear back at all.
Anyway, thanks for your videos and always helping us out!

I gave up completely. The only announcements I’m applying to are pathways.

The need to change your resume for every job that you apply to WITHIN your field that you have years of experience and constantly upskilling is absurd! Just goes to show you that companies expect you to be the perfect match but will never pay what you are worth

Also there is not as much internal movement as they anticipate. So jobs at gs 11-12. come from internal. 9 comes from external candidates mostly. If 11-12 or 12 and up don’t move or internal process to slow. gs 9 and 11 take forever to get posted.
The process is too slow. Make them all direct hire. It literally appears as if they hire 1-2 candidates from 1 posting. With 100- 600 applicants.🤯😭 It’s mind boggling.

I am getting more referrals due to your videos. Which is great. No interviews yet from my recent resume adjustments. About 4 jobs no longer available, just collecting resumes i guess or funding issue. Also wondering when that surge in hiring is going to take place? And what’s lowest salary acceptable in dmv, no roommates? Gs 9 starts at 65, 000 for most jobs there. Doesn’t seem livable even when commuting from virginia… What are your thoughts? They appear to be doing more actual hiring. Or the hr is just on top of it.

Have you seen or heard of these HireVue interviews? Was an odd experience...still not sure if I loved it or hated it.
