After over a decade and just recently binge watched FMA & Shamballa again, this OP and especially that the descend to the underground scene still makes me so upset every time I watch it. It's just so symbolic and does a really great job at representing the ending of an epic tragedy. And the AKG song is just so fitting!

ok but the animation starting at 1:09 is nothing short of breathtaking and is so smooth I would say its rotoscoped but the shit is fucking impossible for a person do do so rotoscoping is out of the picture it is honestly one of the best animated things studio bones has ever made to this day
