Not critiquing the list, just copying as I heard it. (And for anyone who thinks it’s not worth doing a little preparing-ahead, for a just in case situation: don’t bother buying car or home insurance, either! 😊)

Suggested items to store:
1-canned veggies, 2-rice, 3-beans (dry & canned), 4- pnut butter, 5-pasta, 6-salt, 7-honey (okay, one critique here: buy raw honey, not the kind with water & corn syrup added to keep it liquid! It’s sweet, but has no medicinal value & almost no nutritive value), 8-instant coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cider mixes, etc., 9-oats, 10-sugars, 11-cooking oils, 12-canned meats, 13-powdered milks, 14-vinegars, 15-spices, 16-flours, 17-canned fruits, 18-dry lentils, 19-baking powder, baking soda, yeast (depending on how you cook), 20-bottled water & purification methods, 21-toilet paper, 22-canned soups, 23-freeze dried meals for almost-instant use, 24-cleansers, basic hygiene & sanitation supplies (include baby & Clorox wipes!!), 25-protein bars, 26-medicines (otc & prescription) & first aid supplies, 27-pet foods, if applicable, 28-baby formulas & diapers, if applicable, 29-batteries & flashlights, etc., 30-freeze dried meats

We hope there's no "emergency situation, " but if there is, you'll be mighty glad to have some extra supplies on hand!

Having extra food was perfect when we had a coronavirus lockdown. We ate well and chocolate tasted extra good.

There is no need to panic if one has spent years being a mindful and frugal Prepper. All done and dusted, for years to come, supplies as well as food, and essentials of every day living. It is also the best way to mitigate inflation and shortages, and feel secure about the future, for self, pets and family members who are not preppers. Use plastic crates to pack enough meal ingredients and condiments to last for a week, in a second crate pack drinks and educational items to entertain children, along with practical prepping items such a as warm clothes, and/or fuel and a butane stove to cook in power outages. Crates make it easy to transport, and can be stacked as one prepares them. Care Crates for family will be appreciated when the eye-rolling stops and they decide Grandma wasn't crazy after all! It won't be the first time!

Number one ammo when people and the government learn you have supplies they will come for it

I would add boxed jello and instant pudding. Neither are expensive and you can add canned fruit to jello to make a dessert and it is good without any fruit, too. If you have to use powdered milk, I'd use less water so the pudding would be thicker. And though they say jello needs to be chilled it will eventually gel without chilling.

It has always been a rule in our home to have enough food to last a year. And that is living without a crisis if you don't think it will happen to you, think again

If the "trust me" count was a drinking game in the video, most people would be hammered half way through!!

I should have started a "trust me" count at the beginning but not willing to re-watch to count.

I think everybody oughta have a well stocked pantry, but I don’t believe in scare tactics. I can a lot of my own food. Being prepared for anything is a good idea, but I don’t think we’re at the level of apocalyptic storing.

The same list, the same warning, but look at the comments; people don't believe their own eyes by way of prices, the news or even FEMA.

What is especially needed in light of extra tariffs on China?

Never trust anybody who says trust me as much as you

Do not believe these kinds of advertisements, this will only help food companies to higher the prices and keep it forever.

I'm not surprised that we may have shortages especially when Donald Trump's tariffs take place. We are All going to pay more for anything that is from another country.
