Hi sir, i am unable to do automation testing for games because it has canvas element present in game html code, these canvas element should be select whole as image and we couldn't perform any action on different button in canvas (which are not traceable in html code)

I do understand the point sir made, that person in testing should know the fundamentals of testing rather than just programming.
But, I respectfully disagree that automation testing is overrated.
If any person has made efforts in programming - web, appium, api, learnt concepts of Jenkins, worked on that, did know the working on load test scenarios. I believe it should be overrated, if not !!
Just knowing fundamental, might be good for entry level, but programming+ other concepts are much needed these days.
