This video is a quick tip to work out your calculation for the time you want to finish. Of course if you have a lot of stops (190+)/ apartments/ businesses, you wouldn't want to finish way too early because it wouldn't be practical. The video is steered towards helping you have an idea when you will finish work and also manage your delivery time so you wont fall behind. It's all a tip to help manage your delivery time

It not the stops. Its the locations. 180 can = 250 locations of houses, apts, and businesses. The delivery order algorithm can be chaotic. Password delivery set you way back for those who go "huh" what Password. Rain. I love how he says " have to go faster ". Lmao

Thats assuming absolutely best case scenario. He didnt account for drive time. If youre working 8 hours+ youll be out for at least 2 sessions of busy traffic hours. Doesnt account for time takes to deliver package + put it through that terrible app system they use. Doesnt account for amazon rule sets either. To meet the quota of almost 30 stops an hour requires your vehicle to move faster than amazon guidelines permit. If you are Not ahead on your route you basically dont have a break unless youre willing to stay longer or get someone to flex a portion of your route. Also doesnt help that their gps system is made by 4yo in the middle of nowhere. Their gps system will have you stop at a house go all the way down the road for another house and then turn around and go to the same exact spot for the last house but on the opposite side of the road. This is 100% some employee at amazon paid off to say this. Amazon guidelines is built to have you want to quit or make you get fired which ever one comes first. If you leave before you get access to benefits they get you while youre working your hardest to keep the job and leave you hanging by the time you figure it they be abusing tf outta people.

180 packages divided by 7 hours = 25 packages per hour. 180:7=25

1 hour has 60 minutes so the calculation becomes

60 minutes divided by 25 packages is 2.4 minutes per house.

60:25= 2.4

so within 2.4 minutes you can deliver a package to a house only if you find the door, street or house number because if you cannot find it immediately, valuable time is lost and you will not achieve the 25 deliveries per hour per house.

Personally i have more on tips and tricks how to find a house faster or a mailbox because if you canot find everything quickly without having to search first, you can deliver only 20 packages in one hour.

There's variables such as a busy street on your route, apartment complexs, and special instructions YOU HAVE to follow based on certain customers....

Idk, when I was a DSP driver I trained with a so called expert who barely did 125 stops in 10 hours. In any event, when I applied for a real delivery driver job, I lied and told them I did 327 stops came back and rescued people everyday and did another 180 stops for a total of 507 and that my picture was hanging on the wall in the delivery station. It worked, they hired me on the spot and paid me 3 times as much and I am still there, I am a homeowner and my house is full paid off . . .
