Beautiful little bird. I miss my little bird sooo much. He was never as tame as this, but my bird and I definitely had a special bond. It was special when I would play my harp and he would start singing. :)

@MsHamsterhelp, hi there, canaries can live alone or with others without a problem, however some canaries will fight even if it's a male and a female, if you plan to have more than one, make sure your have a cage big enough and you have more than one bird feeder to avoid too much fighting, and they are not hard to tame at all, just spend a little time with him when possible, and if you let him fly around the cage and feed them as close to you as possible when u have the time, should makeIt

i love canaries! you are so lucky that yours trusts you enough..mines free range around the house, caged only for fresh air and sunshine outside..hes a happy chappy sometimes he will sit up on my computer screen and watch while i type but thats the closest he feels safe, id love to be able to pat him!

@Dinasdash, yep, if you can let him fly around the house sometime makes it much easier, when he feels conftable going in and out of the cage by him self, dont grab him and put it back, let him go back to the cage on his own ( very important) then you start feeding him as close to you as possible, moving the food around... until he comes and eat the food on your hand, be patient, and enjoy his company, good luck!

It is amazing how well you've tamed him he clearly seems to love and trust you that's great me personally I have a parakeet I can do everything with him but that's only because he's a parakeet and they are naturally much better at taming compared to canary birds

Your canary colour like my 2 month canary..
I always let my bird out of cage about 15 - 20 minute a day on afternoon, because i only have time to play with at afternoon.
He's also like to bite my hand just like your's....but he's still afraid to out of cage himself, need to give him more time to training.

@jjone316 well they do poop alot due to their fast metabolism. however, its not a good idea to let a bird out of his cage when no one is around to keep an eye on him, indeed they might get stock behind something or eat something from the floor that might harm them i.e paper, plastic or even human food... so my advice is; get one or two like I did, and let them out for an hour or two every day. It's easy to clean their poops and they make the house and your day much more alive and happy. ; )

Trop mignon cette vidéo. C'est dommage que tu ne rajoutes pas un peu plus de choses dans sa cage. Un abri ou une petite maison dans un coin en haut, une petite échelle par ici ou par là entre les niveaux d'étages, quelques cordes pour rester suspendu, des balançoires, des branches pour faire comme des arbres, une petite fontaine artificielle au sol pour le bain.... il se crée beaucoup de jouets pour les oiseaux. Mais c'est déjà bien que ton canari ait beaucoup d'espace et certainement qu'il passe plus de temps dehors avec toi. C'est vraiment une vidéo touchante, j'ai beaucoup aimé!
