My wife was my lanternlight for 37 years, she passed suddenly in 2015. I see her in the most rendom things, its difficult not to tear up over this one . Tuomas wrote this in tribute to his father who passed in 2021.

I'm 73 and I am the last man standing in my family. I understand the loss, yet I still live with hope and intent. Nevertheless, Floor's voice and this composition is akin to an emotional depth charge to the heart. Her face, good Lord, her beautiful face so expressive and adorned with nothing save her heart and soul just melts me to my core. Some of you get it. Some of you don't. I do, and that's all that matters. Kiitos to all of you in Nightwish for delivering such epic and emotional story telling.

This song already reminded me of "Our Decades In the Sun" then I noticed the line "I am you who climbed off of my back" and now it reminds me even more of that song. And this whole album, Yesterwynde, feels like a hybrid between Nightwish and Auri.

Crying for beauty is such a precious happening, unfortunately in many cultures tears are connected to sadness. But tears for beauty are like a golden elixir. Thank you, all of Nightwish, Thuomas, and Floor, for this wonderful piece of art.

This song is written by Tuomas, as a ode to hes Father that passed away in 2021, Floor sings absolute beautiful on this, and Troy joining at end, perfect!! I lost my Father 6 years ago, and my mother 5 years ago, listening to this, will bring me memories of them, and a song of sadness, beauty and hope at same time, its a song i would consider a masterpiece, love it!!
This was the first song Tuomas wrote for the new album Yesterwynde

I love bands that evolve, the Beatles did it, Pink Floyd did, and so on. There are bands that can do the same for decades, but I like how the music of Nightwish has matured and in fact it is ageless.

So sad and beautiful. You can actually hear church bells few times behind the all the other layers in the middle part of the song. Still this is a optimistic song - with a tears. Those who have already gone, are still with us. They are like the silent stream. And this song is perfect.

Fans have different opinions on the three lead vocalists of Nightwish. The fact is Floor can sing any of the previous vocalists songs. The same cannot be said about the other 2 singing Floor era songs. Floor is one of a kind

I so agree with you about Nightwish defying labels. To me, Tuomas and the band have created their own genre - the influences, moods, and approach differing from song to song depending on the message, but it's always unmistakably Nightwish. I've saved this to my favorite reactions playlist.

for a band that does progressive metal and elements of a symphony and have choirs the fact that these professional musicians Tuomas Troy Kai Jukka Floor Emppu are all at the top of their game the level and scope of absolutely gorgeous compositions and the layers of sounds and colors

Floor was the missing link in Tuomas' gift to the world. Since they joined forces the world of music has not been the same. We are fortunate to live in the same timeline as these two artists working together---and with the rest of Nightwish. Music is a very subjective thing. Like and dislike whatever suits you. I discovered Nightwish w/Floor 5 years ago and it's been an incredible ride.
