I loved playing the XP in sim. My only complaint is the lack of 20mm ammo and the slow compression speed.

I love xp-50, BUT you could´ve got that double with any plane. Literally a guy flying straight and a guy going 90° vertical. Not the smartest nor the best players in the game

I fly the XF5F.. And I wish it slapped like the XP50 does.. but I get 2 M2 50cals.. and 2 wet napkin dispensers that I have to try and fill the opponent’s plane with enough led that it’s too heavy to fly😂.. love it tho.. just can’t stand the tickle cannons at times.

This isn't the reason, that was just two kills on people with no awareness. The reason people hate it is the fact that it's airspawn paired with decent climb rate means it will always start above you and the turn rate is good enough that it makes it hard to fly defensively against when it is above you.
But although I admit it should be a few BRs higher (4.7-5.0), I don't think it's actually all that great and most of its power comes from the airspawn.
If it seems like a ludicrous claim, remember planes like the J2M2, Yak-3, Yak-9U and Pyorremyrsky can all beat the XP in an energy dogfight, and while most people agree these planes are strong, I don't hear quite as much complaining about them being broken.
Anyway point is don't be so scared of the XP-50, it's beatable in a decent amount of planes and most of its overpowered nature comes from its airspawn. In saying that it is still a strong plane.
