Heated moment between Broward sheriff, commission during discussion on 911 issues

Tuesday was supposed to be just a presentation by Broward County Sheriff Gregory Tony, who speaking about the issues BSO is currently having with staffing at the 911 call centers.

Anyone else miss Al Lambert I? At least we never had issues like staffing shortages and 911 calls not being answered.
I never saw ATV's and Quads driving on main streets blowing red lights and wheelies. BSO officers are terrified to enforce some laws (or were they told NOT to?).
Tony needs money to fix the problem 🤦higher salaries, more retention, better recruiting strength. You really want to retain staff just ASK them how YOU as sheriff can make their job easier and less stressful. You may be surprised how small changes to policy can make more difference than a fifty cent raise an HR every year.
Not just throw money at a problem and pass the buck onto the taxpayers.

Gregory Tony can come be the new sheriff in Miami-Dade when the state allows it. The 911 center there is staffed and all the phones are using VoIP.
