Mini-Mater Gets New Gears

So after having an issue with the rear gears on Mini-Mater I decided to swap out the 5:38 gears for 4:88. Then as we are pulling everything apart we found out the front gears were also compromised. So it was definitely time to change it all out. I really feel the lower you go on gear ratios the weaker they get due to the pinion size becoming so small. So I feel better about this being a more permanent fix. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

At about the 7 minute mark, Mike is talking about pulling "this axle and that axle and this thingy and the one over there...." to get it apart without breaking anything. Then, seconds later he has a two pound hammer in his hand and he's wailing away on the truck!! "...without breaking anything." These guys are really good at what they do and funnier than hell when the camera is running.

Complaining about parts seems to be petty, however is very useful. Most people would not know about these problems because they don't have the amount of hard use that Trailmater endures. It is very helpful to hear of their expertise.
