I went to BC once, and from what I could tell, that is 100 percent true
We went there for a break, and there was a good place to hike, so we went there, but the entire place flooded up to your ankles, so it was super dang hard to walk
super fun experience would recommend

for manitoba and alberta, I used to always get them mixed up in geography quizzes, until I realized the greatest tip of all that no one wanted to teach me.
