FIRST Time Riding A Harley! | Harley Davidson Sportster

Not the usual kind of video, today I'm riding my Dad's 2005 Harley Davidson Sportster XL1200 Custom (now that's a mouthful!).

This is the first time I've ever ridden a cruiser, let alone sat on one, so it was definitely an eye opening experience and really not what I expected.

Riding a cruiser for the first time has now ticked off that curiosity I had at the back of my head, all this time when seeing so many Harley's on the road. Watch the video to find out my thoughts!

I went from a naked bike to the sportster, and I agree, it took a bit of time to get used to the forward controls. Love the sound of them.

I rode a Road King recently, beautiful bike. Very comfortable and surprisingly easy to ride for the size of it, couldn't believe the way it vibrated when sitting at the lights.

I do have a soft spot for Harley's. I had an 1584cc FXDC and loved it. But after time, I started taking the DR650 every ride so figured it was time to sell. A little sad but, I gotta say, I don't miss it at all.

There is just something about riding a harley. Try out a streetgilde sometime. 6 gallon tank, six speed electronic cruise. 250 mile + range. You barely got out of 3 gear on that sporty. I have a 2013 1200 xl custom fuel injected and a 2012 streetglide with nearly 70, 000 miles on that I bought new. Love them both.

Ha ha wether its religious, political or emotional beliefs a Harley, ford ranger or Mitsubishi triton will never be parked in my driveway even if it’s given to me lol. Your dads hilux isn’t for sale is it? Great vid man can only imagine the smile on your face while riding the bike
