so it sounds like a 120 volt noth american yacht will have less issues in europe and be easier to adapt to the 230 volt system because it would have been wired with heavier gauge wire? most of my DC wiring is 4/0 and 2/0 and most of my AC 10 and 12 gauge.

And many of all elektrik is input 120 and 230 inside.
So maby Just use 1 Hot line and nutrale???

Cant u Split 220 lines Just whit take out one if the Hot line.

See in my boat 230volt. nutrale and we use to Hot lines. 110 for only 1 cable

I did not find this video very helpful. Of course ya you will have to deal with the size of your wires but isn't the big issue converting from 50 HZ to 60 HZ ?
