No in Indian accent it's po-yem. There is no such thing as correct pronunciation in English. If people are understanding then it's correct.
Lalaland
Po- im sounds great. That was my habit. Thanks Miss.

People just want to show accents without giving it second thought, glad you are correcting

'Po-im' is pronounced in UK English and 'Po-uhm' in US English ....Since English is not native to India even some of the most eloquent speaking English crowd in India mispronouce certain words....
arcturus
'Po- im' is the one I pronounce usually..
dr.umm-e-salar
I pronounce it as po_ yem, because I am indian 😅😅
Ancient.Warrior.
I u get it
It is right pronunciation
If it can be Australian, uk, usa accent
Then it can be Jhumri talliya, pahadi accent …..

The pronunciation is okay. The grammar isn't. You asked 'How did you used to...? The word 'did' is already signifying the past tense, so you dont use 'used' with it. Simply... How did you pronounce...' would have sufficed. In another context.. 'How did you travel' not 'How did you travelled' or 'How did you prepare' not 'how did you prepared'. You get the idea. Stay blessed.

Many people don't understand until pronounced as 'poyam' 😂
umeshpune
My school taught me to say po-im. Guess they were right.
PS: Didn't go to a convent. It was a vernacular medium school running english medium.

Pronunciation is one English teacher who wants all her students to copy her style or she will fail them in the English language exam. I Disagree ✖️ 😂😂😂
solosoultraveller
Americans/ canadians do say it as pome but I am a mum of 2 british children, i have always heard it as po-em, not po-um and po-yum is absolutely incorrect

Why we need to follow American or British accent? When India has its own.
