When the best use for your skill is retrieving the bodies of other people pursuing your hobby it’s time to take up stamp collecting

Hey I know, how about we go to an environment in which we can only survive for a very limited time and likely no means of escape before dying, then maybe throw in some obstacles like zero visibility and tight crawling spaces where you have to remove the only thing that is allowing you to live from your body and push it ahead of you into a black empty space. We could also make it that any error with regards to equipment, mix of gases, time at depth or ascent is probably fatal. SOUNDS LIKE FUN TO ME !!!

The first rule of cave diving is to SAVE YOURSELF bc one dead diver is better than 2. Sounds harsh? GOOD! bc so does loosing your life bc you’re trying to save a panicked diver. I see several comments of people saying he could’ve taken her the extr bottle of air/gas but no he couldn’t have. The people who commented that don’t understand how cave diving actually works. If he hadve taken HIS bailout bottle to turn around take Ella hers, they both still would’ve ran out bc by the time they got back to where the stage bottles were initially placed, they would’ve needed another bottle. Non divers don’t understand that every single move of diving, ESPECIALLY CAVE DIVING has to be an extremely calculated move. One single mistake can cost you your life.

You play stupid games you win stupid prizes. And to think all these could’ve been prevented by following the rules to the sport.🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶

I like your stories and narration, but must correct you after hearing in the second story “she gave him a thumb up sign which means I am ok”. Really? Even very beginner divers know that thumb up means to abort the dive, and this applies twice as much in the cave. 😅

In reference to the situation @19:25 ish, ok but why not swim back and give her the extra bottle that’s meant for her so she has at least a bit more air while he goes up for help?🤨 I mean obviously I wasn’t there but idk, it’s just a shitty situation either way but damn

*Caving is dangerous enough, but to be UNDERground AND UNDERwater, noping out of that every time. I've done some spelunking, and not tourist caves you stroll through, either, and no way I'd dive IN a cave. Diving in open water is dangerous enough, and though you may not encounter sharks in caves, you can get pinned...with limited air.*

Hopefully, with the technologies that we have, there will be a safety device for a better communication and can pinpoint diver's location from the people on the surface to be notified whenever things go downhill. A phone or whatever it is that is capable and reliable for deep water explorations.

This is just heartbreaking. They are in search of what, a view?? Well, they may get a view but they end up dying with that view. Soo, was it worth it after all? Hell no, they’re dead!!

"Daniel quickly passed his regulator to Samuel". "Daniel carried an extra regulator in his diving equipment". "The extra regulator was inaccessible". So if im getting this right, Samuel couldnt breath right, Daniel passed him his regulator (meaning Daniel was temporarly without a way to breath). Seeing that he couldnt get to his extra one, he then asks it back, and Samuel refused? Which would mean Daniels death. So Daniel forcefully re-took control of his regulator, and swam back up. Leaving Samuel with his own defected regulator, which ended up killing him.
So both could easily have survived the remaining trip, by simply sharing Daniel´s regulator to survive. Or if he didnt put it in some in-accessible place like an idiot lol

The same "guide lines, " that keep cave divers alive, often end up killing them.
