I hate how the fandom portrays him as a merciless killer when in reality he's actually kind a little bit sadistic but still refrains himself from eating humans and tries to take care of Aliza

They just make him able to eat the negativity apples but if he does eat one he'll die, And "shattered" is just completely fanon but they imagine it as canon.

For the dream thing, he *had* the mentality of a 6 year old when he got out, but then Lanny and Neil told him everything and he kinda matured a bit over the years so I think he had the mentality of a teenager or a young adult

As a hard-core Reaps (and Horror) fan this had made my day! I can not stress enough just how many videos I saw in which Reaper is a huge perve or just some random serial killer and not a god for some reason??? Along with the coffee addiction as well, I mean that's literally the few things Reaps can actually drink or eat without it rot right in his hands or have to go to the save screen or some void in which time is uh, well, not working as it should in these places. Doesn't mean the guy loves coffee to death (See what I did there-) Reaps just doesn't have enough options to choose from, like come on- ( I have been a Reaper fan for at least five years, and trust me when I say that any content where Reaps is actually portraited well is harder to find than fucking aliens)

And Horror oh Horror, I'm already numb to just how morped his character story is from canon to this point tbh, if I take a shot everytime I've seen people making him a cannibal or having Undyne's spear peers though his skull rather than the eye taking machine thingy ( unless it's specified that it's an AU not canon portrait) I would not only have alcohol poisoning, but my stomach will also have a hole burn though it while I feel the disappointment towards these people as I slowly burn into my death

(Fun fact of the day, Reaps is canonicaly afraid of Dolls and his Gaster!) (And Horror has pretty much starved for 7 years since he gave everything he can find to Paps) (and no he's not a cannibal the guy literally asked his brother to beat him if he try and eat a human)( Horro convinced the twonfoaks to eat humans to get revenge from Undyne while he himself will never eat one) (also the guy was properly insane before the hole in the head happened) (Reaper also went insane for a good while as well actually) ( someone please give everyone in this video therapy ;-;)

Fell isn't always angry like people think he is, he is just always on the VERGE of anger. Like he's always about to snap but he keeps it in.

another thing about horror is that everybody thinks that the crack in his skull is from undyne's spear, when in the official comic (by sour apple studios) it's from undyne violently ripping his eye out with a special device (the red eye is actually stolen from one of the guards after sans ripped him apart from the inside, *_very_* gruesome)

Another one is error. In cannon he is portrayed as constantly pessimistic and angry and “everyone here sucks I’m gonna start destroying things at random” all the time.

And in cannon he is actually really positive, if emotionally unstable. In the actual ask blog he even states that he’s “a pretty positive guy.” And when he kidnaps blue he is actually pretty nice to him (besides timing him up and then abandoning him, I mean).

And when we do see him destroy a universe, it’s really well planned and thought out. He manipulates things in the background and makes sure it can’t come back when he eventually destroys the whole thing. He is smart, and it shows in how he deals with his “problems”(the aus)

He even genuinely views what he’s doing as the right thing, seeing the whole multiverses as a mess t clean up. Saying something along the lines of “it’s not a nice job, but someone has to pick up the trash.” He has justified his own horrible behavior and is completely fine with his own actions. No angry at the world vibes, no you don’t deserve to exist talk, it’s like he doesn’t even see the world as (for lack of a better term) a living thing. Just some toys that a kid forgot to put away.

He even knows and acknowledges himself as a glitch. He is “glitch #1!” in his book. He just has who is a glitch and who isn’t completely turned around. Like “I am not the thing wrong here! In fact, everyone including me is wrong, someone should really do something about that” sort of attitude.

Sorry about the rant. I just noticed a while ago how different the cannon version is to the fannon one I was used to and it was floating around the back of my head for a while. For anyone that didn’t know, the original error was created by crayonqueen on tumblr in an ask blog. I suggest reading it. It’s pretty fun, a bit heavy in some places due to the main character having gone mad, but it will really help you understand his character better.

I always found it annoying when people made Dream and Swap Sans so “innocent”. They’re kind, yea, but that’s just literally their personality. They’re kind to everyone. And the thing with Dream, *I legit hate it when people say that Dream can touch Nightmare.* He physically can’t even be near his own brother (sadly) without nearly dying.

I actually have my own lil au where I tried to make the character's personalities and some details as close to canon as possible-
Here are the ones from the video:

Reaper: since met Geno, he isn't obsessed with, he just hangs out cuz he enjoys Geno's personality and cuz he can actually touch Geno, considering he's basically immortal at this point in my au (his time completely stopped in the Save Screen), he dislikes his job and killing innocents as it's overwhelming him and cuz everyone hates him for that, he does like coffee, needs it to stay awake, considering how many people he needs to Reap in the ENTIRE MULTIVERSE, he's flirty with everyone to get reaction out of them at times, with Geno he's actually not flirting but rather trying to make conversations with him (my au, Geno forgot how to speak, so he has trouble communicating), that's about it-

Horror: my au, even though he doesn't have a stomach, skeleton monsters still need food to funktion properly. He hates it, but he is forced to eat others of his kind, but since he joined Nightmare's gang, he had the opportunity to bring home real food that they stole, and he feeds himself and his brother with it. He is used to eating raw meat at this point however, sometimes his hunger drives him to eat others alive when starving, kind of like Six from little nightmares, and others are trying to console him not to do that, and he is trying his best to hold back too. His favorite dish is actually pudding and he is sad there's none in his home anymore lmao- he's also constantly hungry as he only eats when starving, trying to give all the good food to his brother. Also, he has his axe because it saves energy and it makes it just is way easier to scare someone with it. He likes to drag it slowly on the ground when it's dark to scare the living shit out of everyone

Red: often angry, but not all the time. He is everywhere anxious all the time because of his au where he has to have his guard up all the time. Also, he is tired and barely sleeps because of this anxiety and paranoia, that something might happen while he's not awake. Him and his bro's relationship is pretty much like in the video, his bro just yells more often, although he is scared for Red. You can say he is showing tough love sometimes, other than that, many monsters in UnderFell target Red because he is considered weak for rarely fighting back, although he just doesn't do it because in this au, every judge is given some type of injection, that if he uses magic, his own hp will also be drained and he'll get hurt. Asgore started doing this so the judges can't rebel against him, as they will die if they tried to attack him. Because of this he saved his magic energy, as it also drains easily because of his sleep deprivstion. It just got harder due to everyone being out to get him. Tho he may seem edgy, he is actually caring, and would give everything to get him (and his bro) out of that horrible home, somewhere where he can fineally relax.

Dream: isn't as happy as made out to be. The accident at his home with nightmare gave him enough amount of trauma to effect his soul, which because of tainted with negativity, is always trying to get corrupted. No, He didn't eat any of those apples, as nm already ate them all. When overwhelmed, that corruption takes over, making him turn into Shattered. He is Still the same Dream tho, just a goopy pile of immense pain, as his body isn't made to hold that much negativity. Him And Nm are really tall, idk why I just felt like making them really tall for some reason. Also, because of his good nature, he is basically the parent of the star sanses, and always out to set things straight, like with his brother. He may be nice, but because of how he can feel other's feelings, he knows when someone is taking adventage of him, and since he is mature enough, he doesn't let that happen. And of course, he never seeks help, thinking other's shouldn't worry about him because they have their own problems, and doesn't tell nm cuz he knows he wouldn't care.

Swap: the older brother of Papyrus like in canon, is basically very serious when it comes to combat, his combat iq is very high and is quick to think, in normal day lifes to let loose sometimes, he is pretty chill but takes too much too seriously, making him furious when he found out his brother didn't belive in his capability to join the knight because of his size. Him and Dust actually train together because of that but I won't go into detail there.
