My Berserk ending theory
We know now due to Miura's latest interview in the Berserk expo that Schierke and co. would be separated from Guts, which can only mean one thing to me, the one time that Guts would enter the Berserker armor fully, would be his last time, since Schierke would not be there to bring him back. This can only mean one thing, the final moment where Guts is going to strike Griffith down, the Moonlight child would appear and help Guts return to his normal state, simultaneously Guts also cuts down the Moonlight Child and thereby also finishing Griffith. Guts killed his arch nemesis, but also his own child in the process. I personally don't see any other way of Femto being defeated, not even the Sword of Actuation worked on him, I basically see him as invincible at this point in time, except when he has taken the form of the Moonlight Child. On what happens next, I have 2 theories.

First Theory: Guts does not survive Guts strikes Moonlight Child/Femto down and enraged by his actions, he lets himself be swallowed by his hatred and rage, and enters Berserker mode again. Guts kills as many Apostles as possible until he either dies from the pain, or is killed in battle.

This would leave Casca without her child and Guts, which means that there would be no more nightmares for Casca upon seeing Guts, and she would spend the rest of her days safely in Elfhelm among friends but without her most loved ones; Guts and her child.

Second Theory: Guts survives After the overwhelming event, Guts faints and is carried to safety by Rickert. He then wakes up unable to fight, the armor finally has taken a toll on him, which means that the only thing Guts can do is spend the rest of his days together with Casca on Elfhelm, mourning together over the child and trying to be happy.

We have already seen that Guts in the Berserker armor is already capable of defeating Grunbeld, which might just be the strongest of Griffith's main apostles, so I don't think there would be any point in Guts fighting him (or any other apostle for that matter) again, plus I think the story and Guts have evolved from the beginning where Guts' point in life was killing all apostles, I think maybe this part of the story can be replaced by Rickert, Daiba and Silat killing all remaining apostles, plus Schierke, Serpico and co can also join in on the action, I don't see it as necessary anymore that Guts would be the one to kill every single Apostle anymore, since his new life purpose is to be together with Casca, and not necessarily kill every apostle. Plus Guts' physical condition does not allow him to fight without the Berserker armor, unless he tags along Schierke in the future Apostle hunts.

This leaves the rest of the God Hand still alive, and my thoughts on this are also twofold.

First thought: After Femto's death, their reincarnation in the Physical Realm is unmade, which means that they go back to being only in the Astral Realm and can only impact the Physical Realm by turning people into Apostles.

Second thought: This maybe could have been made into a spinoff series where Guts isn't the main protagonist anymore, and the remaining God Hand members are hunted down by Rickert and co. and Schierke and co.

I don't think anything was going to happen to the Idea of Evil so I did not mention it. Berserk being cyclical in nature is a big part of the story so I think it would continue to be so, even after Guts' story in this universe.

So... if Berserk is cycles, what if Berserk was ultimately going to end with Guts breaking the cycle of abuse/the demonic cycle that's been happening?

He manages to kill Griffiths, most likely by killing the Moon Child as others have mentioned, but it leaves him hollow due to killing his best friend, so he's got to pick up his sword and continue his life protecting his family and friends after his victory.

It seems so much of Berserk was about perseverance and succeeding through all odds, so it makes sense that the berserk grit of Guts would eventually win against Griffiths/evil.

EDIT: I would enjoy more Berserk animations. I'm late to the party with the berserk fandom, but I know why it's so appealing to so many, even if it's darker than what I want to read.

Also... what if Guts creates an idea of love/hope/perseverance to counter the Idea of Evil that I've heard mentioned?
