Thanos didn't time travel to 2014 that Thanos was from 2014. In the proposed scene 2014 Thanos went to Earth & killed Captain America & brought his severed head to 2023 to show the Avengers how unstoppable he was. That includes 2023 Cap who was alive.

It would’ve been more interesting to see, but that decapitation scene, it would’ve traumatized so many children and it would be damn brutal

2014 thanos was more brutal, and not the noble warrior 2018 thanos was.

The Multiverses would have counter this because Doctors Strange would have seen that possibility and be like if we take Cap from another dimension then we could survive

To me if they were ever going to keep this they should have just shown Thanos kidnapping CA in 2014 without us knowing what happens next then ultimately removing his head in present day

What if during that scene before the fight with Cap, Iron Man, Thor and Thanos. Thanos just rolls Caps head at him after the " you couldn't live with your only failure line. Plus it would have giving Cap more reason to go back to the past. He could live with Peggy and be the Captain America for that universe.
