I think it mostly has to do with the fact that both teams have the same announcer in most newer CoDs, but we're faction specific in the older ones

There's so many quotable memes from the old announcers, so much personality. But nowadays, it's all generic and boring callouts, and spammed to shit especially in Vanguard.
I'd take *A BOMBS BEEN PLANTED ON OUR AMMO SUPPLY* over the last few games.
