More insurance companies have announced plans not to renew policies for California homeowners beginning in 2024. Four companies attributed the move to a nationwide restructuring decision from their parent company Kemper Corp, according to documents filed with the California Department of Insurance. Sounds like those companies are broke and might be looking for a bail out.

Don't let the door hit you on your way out.

This is when people start to realize insurance is a scam because as soon as you need them they’ll pack up and leave town. Now all we need to do is have people realize the same thing about health insurance and the country will be in a better place.

Unfortunately, California is uninsurable.

Too many insurance claims. California needs to do more to address illegals without insurance, fires, floods.

Kemper, aka Infinity Ins, is no great loss. Pray you don't have an accident with a person carrying this subpar insurance where they will try to low ball claimants. A lawyer did a video about this company saying that more than likey, you will have to sue them to get fully compensated. Trust me, I know. A driver insured with this company ran a stop sign, hitting a car and that car ended up in my front yard. Took almost a year to receive 1/2 of my claim which wasnt even worth suing for. ALSO, they act like wildfires affect every neighborhood in California which is a bold faced lie. So why do I with zero claims against my car/homeowners policy have to now pay higher rates with Farmers because dumb people choose to live in high risk areas like idk... the beach, hills and or in heavily wooded areas. Are they doing this in places where there are tornados, hurricanes and flooding? Or are Californians also paying higher rates because of the multitude of claims in places with Tornados and Floods. I remember years ago, my policy increased with Allstate after a major natural disaster in another state.

Governor should step in and guarantee state insurance for businesses that lose their private insurance.

Should insurers have to cover any homeowners for the privilege of doing business in a state?
