Jury Duty- what to wear.

I don't own any fancy or even particularly nice clothing. It ain't my style, I have no need for them, and I'd never wear them *except* for jury duty. Unless they want to pay me more than $15 a day to avoid fines and imprisonment, they'll just have to deal with it. It may be a civic duty to participate, but it isn't my civic duty to give Macy's the money I don't have for pretentious clothing.

I wore a regular blue polo, black dockers and sneakers and was easily better dressed then half the folks there. Some dude there wore a freaking Hawaiian shirt and flip flops and still got selected. Lol!

I’ve done jury service three times. Two juries. Both times my rule has been not to buy new clothes but to instead wear decent clothing with no logos on them (on the lower side of the income scale). Some dress up. I served on king county superior court and I did pay attention to my appearance a decent amount as that court hears felony cases which in my view can have similar repercussions as anything federal because of the time at stake.

I started off wearing formal dress but once we got to the courtroom I removed my dress shirt to reveal my Free Brittany Zamora t-shirt. Thanks for the advice.

Wear whatever you like to the jury selection process, tell the court you believe in Jury Nullification and you will be back about your own business in no time!

I'm retired. I donated all my serious clothes some time ago. My friends know if they require anything close to formal or semi formal attire in order to attend their function, they know I'll be a no show. I cow towed to employer and societal requirements for dress and grooming all my adult life. I've earned the right to not have to follow those rules anymore. I have no intention of going out and buy clothes just for Jury Duty. I don't have slacks but I do own black jeans so I guess that would pass. If that's not good enough, oh well, they can excuse me. What I'm wearing has no impact on my ability to impartially evaluate the trial based on the evidence.

I have always dressed the same way that I always dress....I'm not gonna wear any sort of a suit or any sort of polo shirt or khaki docker a Heavy Metal musician and I wear what's appropriate to fit the spec of my trade...of course I wear clean BLACK clothes that are neat and pressed as well as having my boots with a Military spit shine...because I respect the court because I'm a free American

Dress respectfully for something that you are forced into? Why, all the system does is slaps the criminals on the hand and gives them a time out, but if we don't show up or we say exactly why we don't want to be there then we could be fined.

Wear a T-shirt with a swastika, carry the book "Where's the Birth Certificate?', tell them you know common law, etc.
