Lecture by Dr. Marta Figlerowicz, an Associate Professor of Comparative Literature at Yale University: "A Short History of Virality" has been a part of the American Studies Colloquium Series at American Studies Center (University of Warsaw).

"A Short History of Virality" draws on research in the history of science, network theory, and media theory, to outline how the phenomenon of virality was gradually "discovered" and theorized, as well as it discusses recent representations of viral network events in American Cinema, for instance in "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri".

This lecture has been delivered as a part of the American Studies Colloquium Series, organized by the University of Warsaw's American Studies Center.
