Maybe I can add my own experiences with SoftMaker here. A while ago, I bought the complete Linux Suite, mostly because I like the interface and because the Office 365 compatibility is really pretty decent. But there's something that I hadn't noticed when I bought it: You're only allowed to install the suite a certain number of times (probably to prevent a firm to buy one license and install it on every PC in their offices). While I can understand the idea behind this, it can become an issue if you like to try out different distros (and maybe they should mention this limit more prominently, I didn't notice it anywhere). I like to distro-hop, and I always installed SoftMaker Office (on the same PC). Lo and behold, after a few distro-hops, my license was blocked. I contacted SoftMaker twice to ask about their policy, I was even prepared to buy another license. But I never got a single response. This left a bit of a sour taste, and I'll probably never use their software again.

It is good that you can change the interface. I don’t like ribbon interface.

Lo único que le falta a esta suite para que sea perfecta es poder insertar ecuaciones lo cual es una función muy básica pero le falta, si la tuviera en la versión de pago con gusto pagaría la licencia

What are the major differences between the free version and the paid version?
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE LibreOffice, but I am curious about this software.
Would LOVE a comparison video between FreeOffice and SoftMaker Office 2021, Please. (Hint, Hint) ;-)

I found your video of SoftMaker Office 2021, I download the free version & it works great, the only thing I find is it does not have the Hypelink on the Right Click Context Menu & you can't move or add it the home tab, that would a big thing for me, I went looking for other Excel-like programs as somehow MS has stop Hypelink from working on 2010 Excel, lots of talk about it on Youtube

What the hell is that from 12:08 onwards? All you do is rush through a bunch of screen actions, with NO explanation of what you're doing or what it's supposed to be demonstrating. NOT helpful, Dude.

Awesome idea would be to do an Ultimate Comparison:
Microsoft Office, WPS Office, SoftMaker Office, Libre Office (and maybe FreeOffice)
That will be soooo interesting to see!
I'm using WPS on my home Manjaro, on my work Ubuntu and Windows machines, as well on my Android S8. On my two home Windows laptops I use MS Office (2018 and 2020 versions 'cause I have purchased licenses for those)
I would totally be interested in this ultimate comparison!

The issue I've run into with respect to making updates to those gradient colors is when you are collaboring with a MSOffice user. If I update the graphic and then send it back to an Office user, it doesn't appear that way to them and then they change it back and send it back to me and then it's as-if my change was undone.

I personally own 15 licenses and I love it both in Windows and Linux, at work we have 30 licenses without problems and will probably update to 2024. To be honest I was hoping they would add sharepoint support like OnlyOffice, anyway, I think Softmaker Office is a great alternative to MS Office.

I work mostly on calculation spreadsheets and I doubt the all needed functions are there. So far none of the free or paid alternatives is a good match. I currently use Excel and Libre because, although very different, have strong and weak points in another areas. I tried different suites in the past, but they were never as good as MS and never as good as LO. What we really get is an impaired version of Excel without perks that LO has, so basically we have an inferior product that is not usable with complicated work environment, or at least, it didn't work for me. Formatting issues were the least important problems. Out of curiosity, I may try the new version of FreeOffice or some beta version of the 2021 version (I have invitation in my mailing list) but I don't have high hopes for it.
