Fun car! Took me 7 years to build this - it was focused on a budget build, not performance. So glad it ended up with someone who appreciates it!

Looks like the windscreen could be moved back about two inches? That could reduce the buffeting on the driver a bit

It's got loads more to give, I have got a Westfield with a 4age redtop with throttle body injection managed by an omex 600, its 142 at the crank when I got it on the rolling road, mine has a type 9 Ford Sierra diesel gearbox and when I got it weight on the weight bridge it topped the scales at 560kg so just over half a ton 🤗

The Locost has a great following, , it is what you make it! From V8 fire breathing monster to four pot run around. I just wish I had the time for another project.

mines MX5 based and only has 80hp at the wheels but its still so much fun and out drives many other cars in the twisties

Went to a Lotus dealer with cash in hand for a down payment. At 6'2", 175lbs, I couldn't squeeze into an Elite or Elan, just the Super7 demo.

Not the first 'Lotus' to have a Toyota engine.

Those straight roads won't do it justice, you need bends!

The Lotus/Caterham 7 is not a particularly attractive car at the best of times but it has the driving dynamics of a racer. Sadly the Locost design copies the look of the 7 better than it does the chassis design. There are much better 7-alike designs out there.

Disappointing, l thought that would make at least 130bhp. You can get 90 or more from an "A" series with mild tuning. I' m no mechanic but l don't think the exhaust helps.
