Soak the casting in hot water and drain cleaner for about fifteen minutes at most and then vinegar for ten, This will clean impurities out but also erode some of the metal away

Be careful with it being too responsive on a stock GTE you don’t want more then 650 wheel torque under 4500 rpm or you risk bending a rod. I know you aren’t shooting for high HP. But torque is what kills these motors not HP. Just make sure your tuner is aware and holds off on timing down low. Love the build!

Bigger isn’t always better! Glad you guys explained the volume of air matters for response!

Some nice welds being done, I'm glad you are using those manifolds and getting everything cerakote'd.

Removing the traction TB was a good solution to buy a bit more real estate; good job. 👍

I was just going to call you out for not ceramic coating those pipes and then you mentioned Cerakote 😂. Stuff really is a game changer. I can grab the hot side of my turbo after running the car almost before it's comfortable to touch the intake manifold. Just got done spraying some Brembos last night. Can not recommend their products enough!

The water itself is not conductive. It is the impurities (minerals, salt, soap, etc) that make it such. You can use distilled water to not get electrocuted

You can get aluminium filler wire with a higher silica content it makes welding castings extremely easy.

I have welded a part that was partially submerged in water before. I had to extend a crankshaft while it was in the block and I didn't want to kill the crank seals (call me cheap.)

Greg, you did a good job bro. cast anything is the hardest to make look good. there is a pink acid aluminum cleaner that's made for these types of jobs. I'll see if i can get the name of it and post it.💪

Damn those clamps really make me want to redo all my piping on my car.

I'd really like to see dyno tests done on different sized charge piping lengths and volumes etc. I have always thought that as long as your blow off valve is not dumping all the charge there should be no real difference in response once the boost pressure has been achieved.
Think of an air compressor tank a little tank may fill quicker but it will empty quicker but a really large tank once filled will take a lot longer to empty. So bigger pipes etc may ultimately reduce lag.
