If pH is normal but the CO2 is still high, I would expect the bicarbonate would be higher than normal to have compensated for the high CO2 and raised the pH.

For normal pH with high CO2, bicarb would be higher than normal to compensate the respiratory acidosis..
Can u add something on base excess parameters in gas report, sir?
