ESP FINALLY CAUGHT UP TO... SQUIER??

Guitar of the Day! ESP have just dropped the LTD 200DX series. This is the first time they've introduced affordable roasted maple models, consisting of an EC, a TE, and an M. This is excellent, especially for newer players! Thing is... Jackson, Ibanez, and even Squier have been doing this already for years. ESP took their sweet time, but man, these look REAL nice.

I just bought this as my first guitar and i didnt realize this was a brand new guitar. I absolutely love it. The humbuckers are deep and throaty and i love the single coil pull switch. This really is an amazing guitar all around.

I got the blue burst TE-200DX less than 2 weeks ago.. tone quality is warmer than what I’m used to but still great, and the roasted maple neck is just insanely comfortable to play on

Interesting take that ESP are in countries around the world so it's important that they're doing roasted maple necks cheaply. As someone from "around the world", where I'm from there are far more Ibanez than ESP...

ESP is usually a couple years late to the party, but they tend to do it a bit more consistently or find ways to improve on everyone else’s innovation. They did it with multiscale, they did it with the 80s reissue models, and they did it with adopting Fishman and Evertune.

They look great, but I think I would have preferred a roasted maple fretboard! I’m sure people are excited about rosewood coming back, but to me, roasted maple necks should have matching fretboards
