The Turing Test: How We Test AI #shorts
Показать описание
Alan Turing was an influential computer scientist during the early 1940s. He is renowned for his work on cryptography and his contributions to the Second World War efforts. However, there is one lesser-known fact that is often overlooked – Turing was also a pioneer in the field of artificial intelligence.
In 1950, Turing wrote a paper outlining his concept of a “Turing Test”, which would determine whether a computer was truly capable of intelligent behavior. The test involved having a human judge interact with a computer, and if the judge could not tell the difference between the computer and a human then the computer would pass the test and be deemed intelligent.
Though the Turing Test has since been improved upon, it remains an important milestone in the development of artificial intelligence.
