After my son went to bed I’d play Tetris on his Game Boy. I was hooked like an addict. Good times.

The "some kid's gonna have a good day" at the Pokémon cards is exactly the mentality I like to see. If you're not getting it for yourself or as a gift, please just leave it for someone else. Especially bc sometimes a really awesome parent may get it as a gift for their kid(s), or just as a family-bonding experience.
I was at a Half-Price Books a few years back, and found Dragon Warrior (DQ1) for NES for like $10. I decided against getting it, but talked about it to a man who was there. He had just talked to his wife about them getting something to play with their son. I told him about how that game and Final Fantasy were basically the beginning of JRPGs, and how it could be a really great historical introduction to the series and genre. He said "okay... yeah, alright, I think I'll do that! Thanks man!"
If you're not going to get it for yourself, it can also be nice to tip off someone who's looking for themselves or for gifts. I'm always happy to spread information that might be helpful. I like seeing others so the same, or even just be kind enough to have that mindset of "this is gonna make someone's day!" We have to remember how most of us got into games as kids. Oftentimes, it was because of little yardsale finds like this

Kirby's Dreamland is a good one, I remember beating that one on Hard mode, felt on top of the world.

Wario Land. Perhaps one of the most fun yet underrated platformer series I have ever had the pleasure of playing.

That GameBoy as long as the back PCB still working you can ISP screen mod it. That’s what I did with my old GameBoy. It wasn’t working but found out that the back PCB still worked and that’s all I needed to mod it with an ISP screen from Handheld Legends

I used to play Kirby and WWF Superstars a lot on my Gameboy back in the day. Fun, simple times.

That’s sick! I live in a town where people move to for retirement and unfortunately a lot of this type of stuff never makes it out of their home state

I used to have these games the kids don't understand these days how excited we were to get a new Nintendo or Gameboy game back in the day. It was just like getting the best newest biggest tv playing with a chair that vibrates on a Xbox One or PS5 or best computer ever.
