Learning Java: Part 26: Moving Images

Показать описание

In this tutorial we will begin our small series of image manipulation within Java. Although we encounter a few errors in this tutorial, we push through and manage to finish the basics of our RectangleImage class. Basically, we use a rectangle and sync its data with the image in order to create an image that is easy to move and interact with. Future tutorials will deal with the interaction portion.

Thanks for watching!

Hello, i just followed your tutorial and it's very very helpful even if i have to watch it again to understand everything. I'm trying to make a 2D game just for fun but my problem is that, if i increment the X or Y position of the image (for me it's Player1 and for you it's zigzag) it moves okay but it duplicates so i see every positions that the image had. And it continues on the whole frame, i tried to do a graphics.clearRect but now my sprite isn''t moving. I Tried refreshing the background everytime a sprite moves but everything (obviously) flickers, and it causes lags.

I hope you'll be able to help you i'm so pissed of at this time and i can't find a solution :( thanks
