The 3DS will always have a special place in my heart. It gotten me through my depression stage during middle school and early high school. My favorite games playing on it were the 2 Kirby games you mentioned, Smash 4, Sonic Generations, and Ocarina of Time 3D.

I'm getting back to playing on my 3ds after a long break, I got back into it like 3 days ago after deciding to emulate Shinobi (unfortunately I lost the card a while back), as I remembered it being a very difficult game. I'm currently still struggling on the final boss on the easiest difficulty XD, I'm not sure if its my favorite 3ds game but I definitely think its worth playing and I hope it gets remade on the switch.

Fire emblem awakening is my favorite 3ds game. It got me into the strategy genre. Also, the music, character designs, voice acting, combat, ett are really good.

I remember being super invested in Super Mystery Dungeons story when I was a kid. I got past over half the game but got stuck on one part tho.

so many good stuff on this console. one of my absolute favourite time on it was playing through professor layton vs ace attorney, that game is just something else if you enjoy both franchises, even the score was absolutely fantastic start to finish.

Just recently played SMT IV for the first time, as I got into Persona with Royal's PC port a couple years ago and really love JRPGS now, and man what a fantastic game, it quickly became one of my favorite 3DS games ever!

Nice top 10. I’m not into Pokémon or life sims so my list is a little different. Here’s my top 11 in no order: Captain Toad, Smash Bros, A Link Between Worlds, Ocarina of Time 3D, Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon, Kirby Robobot, Mario 3D Land, 7th Dragon 3, Shovel Knight, Mario Kart 7, and Hyrule Warriors Legends.

Thanks for saying to play these any way you can. I'm watching this video cos I'm getting a new SD card for my 2DS on Thursday. I definitely need to have a go on Pilotwings, Luigi's Mansion 2, Mystery Dungeon and Animal Crossing. I'd have a really hard time making a top ten, my relationship with the 3DS is a bit strange I think. I added a few emulators and use it to check out NES, SNES, Genesis and GBA games that people like to rave about, that's probably what I like about it the most, I get to play ROMhacks and fan-translations too. I hope the nostalgia for the DS family systems grows and we get more hidden gems uncovered

Honestly one of my favorite 3ds games was Find Mii wish they brought back something back with street pass with the switch or if the switch 2 ever decides to come out but this is a great list that made me realize that the 3ds had an amazing catalogue

I can highly recommend to check out the Etrian Odyssey series. It really is one of the best dungeon crawling game with a turn based combat that I ever played. Drawing maps by hand, doing quests, being absolutely in fear of the monsters roaming across the dungeon's tiles whenever you move, trying to avoid those, mixed with random encounters that can still mess you up.

It's nothing casual, that's for sure, but definitely worth getting into.
