Interesting, I have read about mercury filled chambers under the Great Pyramid at Giza that are theorized as fuel for the pyramid when it was originally used as a ancient power plant, mercury moats in ancient Chinese emperors mausoleums, mercury in Mayan and Aztec pyramid complex’s, and the last German U-Boat (U-864) that was sunk at the end of WWII had a top secret cargo which was a load of mercury on its way to Japan.

Reminds me of a novel I read called "A Canticle For Leibowitz. It's told over 3 eras. A post-apocalyptic wasteland where humans are in the dark ages again, following a nuclear war in our time. Then onto a more advanced medieval Era, where scientific discoveries are being remade. And lastly a technologically advanced far future where humans are again on the brink of nuclear annihilation. The theme of the novel is the cycles of humanity repeating themselves. Makes me wonder if this has happened over and over again to us in reality.

Once in the early 90’s., on a very rainy morning I found myself inside a guitar shop on West 48th street in Manhattan.
Mark Knopfler was there sitting on an amp playing a guitar. I quietly sat down across from him and listened to him play for over an hour there in the tiny guitar shop.
