NASA is conducting a tanking test of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket to verify fixes after a liquid hydrogen leak scrubbed an earlier launch attempt of Artemis I. If the test goes to plan, the next Artemis I launch attempt could occur on Sept. 27.

Go to Harbor Freight, buy 100 of their largest shop fans, place around the launch pad, blow the constantly leaking hydrogen away to a safe level.
Light the rocket.

Haha, just hearing Das's voice made me smile. Thank you, Das, for being sooo cool. Also, the new stream looks absolutely fantastic!

Wasn't it Einstein who said trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results was the very definition of insanity? However, to be fair, the comparisons to Saturn 5 and its immediate success 1st time out is not a fair comparison. The Saturn 5 1st stage of 5 F1s, used RP1 not LH2 which is a lot easier to deal with. However, might want to find some of those old engineers and get their advice :) They did have their issues like F1 stability issues and pogo problems but they threw a beautiful machine together in a very short time!

I know people who won’t even get on a Boeing plane because of poor production standards let alone a rocket.

Uh oh, NASA can't get it up anymore.

It would really be awesome if we had a video feed with actual loop traffic, rather the constant banter like it was in the Shuttle, and Apollo programs. Banter is okay but some of us are way ahead in terms of information and understanding it all.

Gaint waste of government money. Hand it over to the private sector boys. Move o. To building moon space station/gateway to be launched by private rockets.

I had a question but it got lost in the chat
They have tried to fuel SLS 6 times by now. So whenever do that the oxygen vent at the bottom has a constant present there. Oxygen is known to be very reactive and is BAD for the engine bells as they are made of metal. On top of that it has been on pad for about 3 weeks now. So how do they make sure that O2 does not do any damage to the whole structure.

Loved this question:
"Can you explain to the ignorant (me) why can't Orion be strapped to a falcon heavy instead of this dinosaur?"

I did a google of the cost per gallon of liquid hydrogen and O2
Hydrogen cost $16 Gal
Oxygen cost $84 Gal

So lets play with this math shall we?
538, 263 196, 000
X $16 84

$ 8, 612, 208 + 16, 464, 000 = $ 25, 076, 208

LOL
I will never complain about filling my gas tank again HAHA

Hydrogen leaks....no one can do shit about it.
So you lift the limit on how much you leak per minute and you ensure that the density of the leaked hydrogen can not start an explosion....so use some kind of fan system to lower the density of hydrogen leaked around the engines.
