Yes indeed is ok to expose your strength... and weaknesses so everyone can have them direct in the face and wonder if they are reliable. That is very smart strategy.

Please be honest with me. My son is entering senior year at one of the most prestigious universities (undergrad) in US and interning this summer at Tier 1 bank and wants to get an offer at the end of summer. He comes across as super smart and knowledgeable and able to learn quickly but he isn't the most outgoing and he did poorly on his first presentation and got NOT TRACKING on his midsummer evaluation. There were a few small competitions regarding banking skills that he WON. He just did his second major presentation and absolutely KILLED IT but he's worrying that the first evaluation (and presentation) might have put him at a tremendous disadvantage at the halfway point. Do investment banks put much emphasis on the first written evaluation when deciding who gets an offer and is it possible to turn it around, do better and get an offer? Is the first and second half weighed evenly or is 2nd half of internship more important?
STRENGTHS: Super smart and quick learner, punctual and driven,  understanding content well, Outstanding 2nd major presentation (blew people away)

Weaknesses: TERRIBLE 1st major presentation (good content but bad delivery), sometimes asks complex, detailed questions that aren't on point (according to evaluation) he admits his mind sometimes wanders, isn't a great schmoozer but makes friends and tries to make a good impression.
Any advice to help him get the offer...? Thanks.

Research the job description to find out what they’re looking for then leverage your strengths to match
Find out what your problems are then talk about your strengths as a solution to their problems and tell them how these are your strengths and how they became your strengths more than anything don’t overthink everyone and don’t feel thatYou don’t have any strengths everyone is good at something
