What Happened to PSY? (Gangnam Style) - Dead Channels

Psy, creator of Gangnam Style, was at one point the biggest Youtube star in the entire world. So what happened?

nothing happened... psy is pretty much making music, and the same kind of music, he always has. keep in mind he doesn't make videos for youtube, he's a legitimate star in korea with hit after hit after hit. he doesn't have as much of an international spotlight anymore but that doesn't mean he's 'dead'.

Yeah his mainstream (US) appeal is gone but it was a random hit in the states anyway. He's still popular in Korea.

I have no idea what the hell you're talking about when you said he was going 'back to his Kpop roots.' PSY is and always has been a Korean pop musician, and he never pretended otherwise. He's still massively well-known and respected around the world, basically like a korean Micheal Jackson. The US just naturally assumes that because they're not paying attention to something, it doesn't exist.

I'm really happy PSY is back doing his normal stuff, as a kpop fan I did listen to PSY before GS came out and really liked his stuff, he also did well to talk about societal issues in his music (like in his song Right Now, with was banned due to it's criticism of work culture, or something the like). I hated Gentlemen, it seemed so arrogant and the dance wasn't even his own? it's from another kpop song (the singer was the main girl in that video).
