The global energy market is larger than the car market and Tesla aims to take advantage of this by offering a complete ecosystem of solar and wind energy generation, energy storage systems, and electric cars. It's well known that more EVs on teh road will increase the demand for stationary storage products, especially at the commercial scale with the Megapack. Looking at CA app ISO Today, it appears Tesla Megapack will be paired with all grid-scale solar farms to create hybrid solar installations. Besides the benefits mentioned in video, being able to time shift energy captured by solar past sunset is fantastic. This means when the sun goes down, consumers can still benefit from energy connected during the day. During last summer, Megapack helped California grid during the peak electrical consumption that occurred when everyone went home and turned on home air conditioning, stoves, etc. after sunset.

I NEVER miss your video's. Best in-depth @Tesla content on the internet. I am missing however an important element for use of the Megapack's namely HUGE energy farms for "Tesla Energy" like they just have build one in Texas. If cash grows investment cost for "Tesla Energy farms will be limited" and margin will be high (cheap energy loading and expensive sales + grid injection if needed). 1 billion investment = at least 1 GW 4 GWh (for at least the coming 10 years bc of the IRA), thats a huge battery. Combined with thousands of powerwalls Tesla will become a giant electricity provider. I am convinced that this will happen sooner than later.

Just a thought, in my mind I think the most straightforward solution is to combine medium and small distributed battery storage Systems and, vehicle to grid technology. In other words virtual power plants, that way every home business and electric vehicle, could contribute to the stabilization of the grid . Combine that with existing 😅wind and solar power systems and you may have a recipe for a robust and cheap renewable energy infrastructure🤔IMO

Re: Tesla Energy Growth. Elon actually said that energy would become 2x of cars vs 1x as reported. My swag is 1x by 2025/6, due to rapid initial production, & from there, due to increasingly more parallel growth with EVs, 2x by 2030/33.
Btw, What happens when a mass solar ejection happens to end up being directed at Earth? From when I looked at it before leaving SoCalEdison, none of the utilities are even considering the already available 17 minutes warning to begin quiescing the grid to save load bearing equipment.

Yeah but the mega packs buy energy off the grid during down hours then sell it back at a profit. This one school who did this makes like 63k a month

those orange colored battery packs stacked inside the Megapack look like the battery packs used in the Tesla Semi.

Tesla absolutely will achieve its projected 50% margin on its Megapack and other energy storage products and they will do so without even counting the Government credits, since the U.S. Government credits amount to just $35/kWh, while the value or price of its energy storage products exceed $350/kWh. The 50% gross margin will be a slam dunk and they might even achieve 50% operating margin, since the SG&A costs will remain relatively fixed and almost disappear as a cost/unit, as Tesla scales up its production volume for its energy storage products.

MOST INVESTORS DON'T STILL GET MEGAPACKS! If they did, the TSLA should be way higher than $200.00!! Just the Lathrop facility's IRA at 500GW should be worth $240.00/share or so??

Megapack, FSD and Optimus are the 3 most important factors for the next 10 years of Tesla imo. Not modeling for them while being short is a great way to end up with burnt hair.
