This is the biggest problem I have had with the PlayStation 5 controller.. the battery life sucks!

I don’t mind having the rechargeable batteries because I sit on my bed with my controller plugged in so it’s basically like I have permanent batteries in the controller

Rechargeable AA batteries are the way to go. Been using the same set of 6 for nearly 2 years

Here's the thing. Having the option to use batteries is a bonus, not a negative.
When your Playstation controller battery stops working, you have to take it to a repair shop or send it to Sony to get it fixed.
All we need is two AA batteries...

They are pure trash. Not only battery life, but build quality as well. Definitely prefer my Series X controllers to my PS5.

This is why I’m glad Xbox doesn’t have built in batteries it’s cheaper to replace the batteries then to replace the controller

I just seen a comment which said he'd rather buy new batteries than a new controller when you can put a ps wire WHICH CHARGES YOUR CONTROLLER and keep it in and have basically infinite charge with less input delay

I just love Xbox way more. The feel of the controller is unmatched. PlayStation controllers feel really small in my hands. Maybe I just have big hands but I love Xbox controllers

I like wireless contollers that can take AA but give you a rechargeable battery pack that you can swap out for whatever at any time. (I use the 8BitDo pro 2, for example)

The simple solution is charge one controller while using the other one. When it dies grab your fully charged one and swap again.
