I appreciate that you didn't call it The Passion like some people do - The official name and only name of Jonathan's stand is... "Jonathan's Stand". The Passion is a completely different stand that can see the future of anyone blood related and takes the appearance of thorns upon ones head just like its namesake - The Passion of Christ.

I personally really love the idea that Hermit Purple is a stand shared through all Hamon users, the whole stand itself acts as a conductor for it, just makes sense that the best Hamon users gain an ability to take it even further beyond

This reminds me of an interesting fan theory I heard that Dios stand wasn't just to stop time but rather his stand had the ability to use all the joestars stand powers. The rose buds ability he implants is supposed to be jotaros mothers stand as she is encased in roses at the start of the series and that tracking stand that dio uses is Joseph's stand. He also just so happens to be able to stop time because that ability belonged to jotaro and that's the one he uses the most because it's the most useful

I’d like to imagine that if Johnathan was actually alive and could use his stand in actual combat, it’d evolve like Tusk does in part 7, since Johnny and Johnathan are counterparts of one another and so are Spin and Hamon, with Spin being what Tusk uses and Hamon being what this would used since Hermit Purple looks almost identical and uses Hamon

No joke, In part 3 of manifesting, Joseph has thorns called hermit purple, His daughter has thorns that was killing her, And DIO taking Jonathan's body and using it, He ALSO has thorns.

You can see him use hermit purple during sono chi no sadame JUST before he runs up the stairs with the dark determination fire in his eyes, you can see it ethereally shoot out of his hand when he makes a fist.

I also like to believe In part two hermit purple was working overtime to keep Joseph alive. He “instinctively” raised the Red Stone at JUST the right time huh? He was shocked he did that move himself judging by his reaction. Gonna assume he “instinctively” shot his disembodied hand at Kars too? (With a ton of force too by the way - and don’t say stroheim is how it got launched, he was holding on for dear life at that time as well as probably crapping himself thinking about having to swim home with literally one arm, regardless I doubt he could shoot off a fleshy hand like he did he robot one anyway) and then there’s Joseph holding onto what’s essentially a meteor plummeting back down into the sea with one hand?!?

No way, hermit purple was definitely behind all that. You know what, I bet it’s the reason he is able to predict people’s next line too, he only does that move ONCE in part three and it’s when his stand is wrapped around The Empress, before he annihilates her. It’s even confirmed by Araki that if the Crusaders went back to the time of part two and met young Jospeh, they would see Hermit Purple unknowingly emanating from him. That’s more than enough for me

Jonathan Joestar's stand is probably the World. Hermit Purple was stated not to be a stand but a stand-like manifestation by Araki. He even mentioned that, any Hamon user can manifest a stand like hermit purple. Also, we know other people can use other people's stand like emporio using Weather's stand.

I have my personal head canon that when dio used the arrow to awaken his stand some of Jonathan's stand transferred to joseph and i think holly's stand is kinda like hermit purple but she's unable to use it

Holly's stand that was manifesting was also a thorn like thing so i totally see them sharing hermit purple like stands. Hamon helps extend your physical power so a vine technically is a literal extension object.
