This ship scratch build was inspired by the art of Ian McQue in 1/35 scale.
It has taken me way longer than usual but that is a reflection of the difficulty level this time around.
Let me know what you think of the ship!

You did an incredible job on this!
I like those designs so much, and you combined the best parts on this remarkable build.
When you were showing how some of the existing bits in your collection fit together so well, I could feel the satisfaction. That's one of my favorite parts of doing scratch/bash builds, when two unrelated things I did not make go together like they were meant to be. I can't say enough positives about the end result you got! Wow.

Quick tip: If you glue alot of styrene, buy a bottle of ethylacetate. 1L 10 bucks. Tamiya is a great company and all, but turning 20 cents into 5 bucks is a rip off :p

Great build! Really enjoyed hearing your thought process throughout! Lots of sweet techniques I've never seen before too.

"I've been doing scratch builds since 1979; very nice work"! kinda looks a space HUMM-V. Don't worry about dings, scratches and things I always use them as battle scars it helps in giving the subject that used look. I use hot finishing nails very carefully to create Lazer blasts, then finish it up by carefully applying burning smoke from a piece of plastic over areas I need effects especially the after burners, then using a small paint brush to smear it a little"! an excellent job you did; Keep up the good work"! TWO THUMBS UP"!!

This looks like something that could be in the background of The Fifth Element, perhaps as some sort of tug vehicle at a spaceport.

Also if you’re after inspiration for another project, I suggest checking out Soviet era South Pole exploration vehicles.

It’s funny I recognized the spice jar lids! I love watching scratch builds but always throw away those caps. 😊
