That was really nice. I first heard that song performed by Roger Miller about 1969. I liked his version. Then in February of 1971 I heard Janis' version as I was driving through San Bernardino from Las Vegas going to Hollywood. I loved her version. Later I liked Jerry Lee Lewis' version. Your version is as good as any of them. You are ready for Las Vegas.

None of these artists had drawn their first breath when this song was written by Kristopherson; recorded by Janis Joplin and many others…then they knock it out of the park, straightaway dead centerfield! Badass!

How does this not have more likes? Great cover I can definitely feel the Janis Joplin and Bessie Smith influence in this, its sang as a blues song. Blues is BLOOD most will never get that and many covers don't get that part right. Well Done! As a HUGE Joplin fan Janis would definitely approve of this.
