We just got back from the Dominican Republic and stayed at the Sanctuary Cap Cana. One night we went into Downtown Punta Cana for a little more nightlife and to check out the vibes and safety in the area. We were very surprised on how clean and fun it was! It's smaller and different than the Hotel Zone in Cancun because it is situated in an open air "market" layout. I live in Punta Cana and feel so much safer here than I do the U.S.

The DR has borders that are strictly enforced! There are no mass shootings, unlike every day in the US! The cost of living is great and there are so many options to eat healthy.

I had to laugh, Coco Bongo is definitely a one-time thing! But I have to go more often, when friends and family come to visit.

I live in a large villa in Vista Cana which is a new gated community with man-made beaches, lagoons, bars, restaurants and a sports complex. It's about 15 minutes from everything in Punta Cana.

You weren't there long enough to go to the white sand beach with the beautiful crystal clear water. Maybe next time you can cover that in your video. It's breathtaking! ❤

Quick question, the bars in that downtown are of Punta Cana, do you have buy tickets in advance or are there cover charges. Not including coco bongo. Also do know roughly what the cost was from your resort to that area and return

We did not like punta cana at all at the majestic mirage where we stayed the food was terrible, mosquitoes or sand flies killed me, the resort is in a very poor rough area several men approached my husband at the resort beach offering drugs and prostitutes 🤬 cant leave the resort because its not safe! You wanna go explorer and do lots of stuff go to quintana roo...Will never go back to the DR ! Bad experience and lots of drugs and uner age prostitution 😢
