That’s why I only like to do silly things for April fools like putting googly eyes on stuff. Or hiding little miniature figurines everywhere.
Stuff that someone will actually laugh about instead of just feeling uncomfortable and upset

I had a friend who announced twins on April 1st. I had to call to confirm that yes she was having twins 😅

Last year I learned that the French version is called "April Fish" and the whole thing is to put paper fish on people's backs. Clearly defined rules for a holiday, yes please! Silly, but not mean, even better!!

Oh I absolutely hate April Fool’s!! My 8yr old son thinks it’s hilarious in theory, I have never helped him with any pranks. We had a huge conversation yesterday about why people may not like pranks, what type of pranks are totally unacceptable (if they potentially hurt someone physically, hurt feelings or are anyone’s expense to make others laugh). And I absolutely never want to be splashed with cold water or startled with loud noises!

I despise April Fool’s day and “pranks” in general. Maybe it’s my trauma speaking but to me, “pranks” are just bullying.

Someone sent me this today: "i found out what u said about me, but it’s cool I just don’t want to talk to you anymore. when did you think it was ever OK to say things like that? i thought we were cool but we’re obviously not. don’t even try fixing this because I am pranking you, now send this to ten people to scare the crap out of them" and it scared me so bad because they're one of my best friends, I was about to break down in the corner if I didn't decide to read the rest of the message. I've never said or even thought anything bad about them and I was heartbroken reading the first part.
