Personal safety is tantamount to your progress. What a day you had. I simply cannot see how you were able to make those almost-vertical climbs, with a heavy pack, and still cover over 14 miles for the day. Not sure who is tougher -- the rocks or you. Wonderful video!

I have hiked the area you are heading into... Do not take chances and you should check the weather before taking on your next section. Many people have died from exposure in the Whites. Love your videos! Take care!

Big mile days are doable with this type of terrain, though you have to start early, as in before sunrise. This summer alone, I’ve done well over 100 miles in the Catskills, which have the same type of vertical ups and downs, with the Devils Path being the most infamous (which I dayhiked back in June).
